One Love Market NC, will hold its 5th annual “Empty Bowls-Sunset Beach” Event and Artisans market, Saturdays, Nov. 1, 8, 15 and 22, from 8:30 am -12:30 pm. Empty Bowls is a global, grassroots movement where local potters create bowls to raise money for hunger relief.

“Over these four Saturdays, we focus on “Giving Back” as this important market supports those with food insecurities throughout South Brunswick,”

said Janet Benton, the organizer of One Love Market NC (OLM).

The market features more than 20 artisans and creators of jewelry, photography, home decor, fashion, skin care, candle makers and more.  Local master potters Mark Koepnick, Holly Scott and Rita Bennett will

produce special bowls for this event. Some supporters come every year to add to their personal collection of bowls.

“Shoppers and supporters who come to these markets will have an opportunity to fill a bowl and break some bread with us,”

said Janet.

Weather permitting, the four markets will be held from 8.30 am to 12.30 pm at OLM’s usual location at the Sunset Beach Fishing Pier, 101 West Main St. at 27th St. Rain dates each will week will be Sundays, 10 am to 2 pm.

About One Love Market: 

One Love Market is a community-based non-profit organizing seasonal markets in South Brunswick County, featuring local artisans, crafters and growers. Net proceeds from this event will benefit A Second Helping-3G. Among other human, furry and wild non-profit organizations OLM supports: Paws-Ability, Sunset Beach Turtle & Bird Watch, Friends of the Reserve– Bird Island Stewards, Calabash American Legion and VFW Auxiliary Post 7288.
